Grow and Flex

This piece was inspired by dendrochronology and tree rings, and was handwoven on a floor loom using cotton and paper yarns. It is part of Daisy's woven series ‘Transformation’, which explored the processes which occur in the natural world, from trees growing and decaying to snow forming and melting. It took over 10 hours to set up and weave, and is a unique piece.
