Gucci/Dia Benefit Party, New York, 1999.
This camera flash brings to mind intestines and viscera more so than a delicious cheesy dinner. It glints off the glassware in the background just enough to indicate that there is something there, so it looks at first glance more like a children’s film scene of eyes glittering in a dark wood than anything else. The pack of cigarettes in the background adds to the slight grit of what is almost a rather pleasant photograph.
