Knud Rasmussen, 1879-1933, Greenlandic-Danish polar researcher and author
Between 1912 and 1933, Knud Rasmussen led six out of the seven ‘Thule Expeditions’ and, in his huge body of writings, described the culture and ways of life of the Arctic people. Here he is depicted in a Greenlandic sealskin anorak.
