Patch box

Oblong with concave sides and hinged cover slightly domed, with moulded mounts and V-shaped thumb-lift. Dark blue ground sparsely patterned with lozenge shapes in raised white dots; white reserve panel on each side, framed by raised white scrolls, contain floral sprays, a rose on face. Cover has landscape painted over transfer of man with gun, in blue-green coat with purple lining and yellow waistcoat, and hunting dog; stream in background. Scene framed by raised white scrolls and portion of blue ground, left all aroundior and underside in white.
