Oval patch box commemorating British naval victories. The surface is enamelled, the base white and sides green. The lid is painted in colours with a winged figure blowing a trumpet representing Fame or Victory; beneath her are two vessels, one in flames. The figure carries a blue drape inscribed 'Britons rule'. The lid has a border of pale green and white dots and a black and gold zigzag design. Inside the lid is a painting on glass of a bird in flight. On the lid, behind the glass is painted a nest with eggs 'Affection' written above.
