Ritual Censer

Tibetan metalsmiths were especially renowned for working in iron, typically with intricate openwork designs heightened with inlaid precious metals. Here gold was applied to the foliate lotus design with intertwined dragons and damascened to create the key and lozenge bands on the rims.
