Serving dish from William and Cecelia Jessop's set of Chinese export porcelain. There is no lid.

Provenance Narrative William and Cecelia Barry Jessop of Baltimore County, Maryland. Family tradition says that the set was brought back to Baltimore by a sea captain who was the neighbor of Cecelia and William Jessop. The service could have been purchased blank in Baltimore and then decorated and monogramed for the Jessops locally. The dining set was passed down through the generations in the Jessop family.
