Silver sugar tongs of bow form, having no surface ornamentation except for feathered script initials "HVR" which appear on the bow. The tapering handles are notched near the bow, after which the handles remain wide. The handle then curves inward but flares outward as the handle joins with the oval hollow bowl. Maker's mark, "SHEPHERD & BOYD" in a serrated rectangle.
