Knife, with a handle of rectangular section overlaid with silver, the sides engraved and nielloed in the Renaissance manner with trophies of arms and musical instruments; the narrower sides decorated with a fine guilloche ornament; pommel of gilt bronze, chased with a double-tailed mermaid and addorsed birds in low relief; single-edged, pointed blade etched with foliage and at the forte with arabesques, etched and gilt.
