Wine jug with plant decoration and a Greek inscription. This type of pottery was made to order at Pesaro in Italy to ornament island homes. Both in the Dodecanese and in the Sporades, particularly in Skyros, there survive intact collections of ceramic objects imported from both the West and the East, which cover entire wall surfaces. Product of an Italian workshop (Pesaro). 18th c.
