Role Overview:
We’re looking for a meticulous and dedicated QA Tester to join our Product team and ensure the highest quality standards across our entire platform. This role will involve end-to-end testing across our native iOS and Android apps, web applications (mobile and desktop), content management system (CMS) and API’s. You’ll play an essential role in enhancing user experience by performing comprehensive accessibility testing, ensuring compliance with WCAG and ADA standards, and running both manual and automated tests. Additionally, you will work closely with museum partners to support them in improving the quality of content they input on the platform, ensuring a rich and engaging experience for all users and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough end-to-end testing across iOS and Android apps, mobile web and desktop web platforms, and our CMS to identify and document issues.
- Perform manual cross-browser testing to ensure optimal performance across different browsers and devices.
- Develop and execute automated testing scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Perform real-device manual testing to verify functionality on a variety of devices and operating systems.
- Create, document, and track detailed test cases for all features and components.
- Execute accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and ADA(Americans with Disabilities Act) standards.
- Control the quality of content input by museum partners and provide feedback to improve the consistency, accuracy, and engagement of the content.
- Assist museum partners in understanding content standards and provide guidance to help them improve their content creation processes.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, the CTO and the product manager to communicate findings, suggest improvements, and prioritise fixes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Tester in a tech-focused role, ideally within a mobile and web application environment.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools and frameworks, with knowledge of WCAG and ADA compliance standards.
- Proficient in manual cross-browser testing and real device testing.
- Familiarity with test automation tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, user-friendly experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within the product team and for our museum partners.
