The Limnerslease House Tour

On Saturday 18 July 1891, George Frederic Watts (1817-1904) and Mary Watts (1849-1938) stepped into their new Surrey home Limnerslease. Originally intended as a winter retreat, this bespoke Arts & Crafts studio-home would bring domestic and creative fulfilment for the remainder of their lives.

Using extracts from Mary’s diary, you will gain a unique insight into the personal lives of these two great artists.
