We’re incredibly proud to share that Smartify has been named Business of the Year at the 2026 Museums + Heritage Awards.
This year’s awards ceremony took place at London’s Hilton Park Lane and celebrated outstanding achievements from across the cultural sector. Hosted by paleoanthropologist and comedian Ella Al-Shamahi, the evening recognised organisations, projects and individuals helping shape the future of museums and heritage.
The newly introduced Business of the Year category celebrates companies making a significant impact across the sector – and we’re honoured that Smartify was chosen as its very first winner.
Everything we’ve built has been shaped by the sector itself. This award belongs as much to our partners as it does to our team.
For us, this award represents much more than a prize. It’s recognition of the partnerships, ideas and collaborations that have shaped Smartify over the past decade.
Ten years ago, we started Smartify with a simple ambition: to make cultural experiences more engaging, more accessible and more personal for everyone. Since then, we’ve worked alongside museums, galleries and heritage organisations across the world to create digital experiences that connect audiences more deeply with culture.
Everything we’ve built has been shaped by the sector itself – from personalised tours and accessibility tools, to interactive maps, games and immersive storytelling experiences. This award belongs as much to our partners as it does to our team.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to every museum, gallery and cultural organisation that has trusted us, challenged us and collaborated with us along the way. And of course, thank you to everyone who voted for us.
Most importantly, thank you to the incredible Smartify team. Their creativity, care and commitment are what make this work possible every day.
Here’s to the next 10 years! 🎉
