Smartify is up for one of the internet’s top awards, picking up a nomination in the Best Use of Augmented Reality category at this year’s Webbys.

The nomination recognises our work with Horizon 22, where we turned London’s skyline into an interactive vista using our latest WebAR innovation, Skyline Scanner.

It follows hot on the heels of our recent Museums + Heritage Business of the Year shortlisting, capping a proud period for the Smartify team.

Skyline Scanner helps guests identify exactly what they’re looking at. They just point their phone at the skyline and what was already a spectacular view suddenly comes alive. Highlights automatically appear over buildings, bridges and landmarks – each one a story containing audio, video, images or text.

It works in any browser, on any smartphone, with no app to download or hardware to borrow. And it works in all weather conditions, day or night – a reliable solution for a year-round visitor attraction.

The Webby Awards celebrate the very best of the internet, and being named among the finalists in the awards’ 30th year is a real honour. Smartify has won four Webbys over the last decade – fantastic recognition for the work we’re doing with our partners to make culture more engaging and more accessible.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award is decided by public vote. If you’d like to support us, please visit the voting page before Thursday 16 April.

It only takes a moment and every vote really does count. Thank you for your support.
